No previous experience is required. Basic instruction begins with learning reiho (etiquette) and kihon (basic movements).
Fees
New student Initiation Fee: $10 (Payable to Palo Alto Kendo Dojo)
Iaido Gym Fees: $275/year (Payable to Admin)
NCKF/AUSFK/NCIA/PAKD Dues for Iaido Only: $170/year (Payable to Palo Alto Kendo Dojo)
Iaidoka Visitor Fee: $15/class

Requirements
All students are required to maintain membership in good standing with a recognized NCKF dojo. New students may register after speaking with an instructor.
Equipment — Iaito (Practice Sword), Bokken(wooden sword), Kneepads
Uniform — Black Gi, Black Hakama, Obi
* Equipment may be available for new students to use. Beginners are advised to consult with an instructor in person before making any equipment purchases.
